Look field reference

Descriptions for the existing Look settings. Select a question mark beside a field to also see its current source value.

Size X

Specifies the x/y size of the particle billboard.

Size Y

Specifies the x/y size of the particle billboard.

Facing

Modes to orient the particle billboards facing the camera

Direction

Specifies how to calculate the billboard direction of a particle

Min Speed

The direction is set if the speed of the particle is above the threshold. The default is 0.01

Direction

The facing direction of emitted particles

Environment Lighting

If enabled, the particle gets darker at night and in darker areas. Otherwise the particle always displays at full brightness.

Color

Set a static color for all emitted particles. Transparency is supported if the material supports blending.

Interpolant

Interpolant for the gradient value. A color for each particle will be picked from the gradient using the result of this expression, between 0 and "Range".

Range

The range of the color gradient. By default, gradients range from 0 to 1.

Red expression

Set the color per particle using Molang expressions in RGBA channels between 0 and 1. Alpha channel is supported if the material supports blending.

Green expression

Set the color per particle using Molang expressions in RGBA channels between 0 and 1. Alpha channel is supported if the material supports blending.

Blue expression

Set the color per particle using Molang expressions in RGBA channels between 0 and 1. Alpha channel is supported if the material supports blending.

Alpha expression

Set the color per particle using Molang expressions in RGBA channels between 0 and 1. Alpha channel is supported if the material supports blending.

Color mode

Static uses a single RGBA color; Gradient samples color stops using an interpolant; Expression uses a separate Molang value for each RGBA channel.

Gradient stops

Select a stop to edit its RGBA color. The interpolant selects a position in the gradient, and Range controls its domain. Transparency requires a material that supports blending.
