Showtime selection, links and clip actions

Select clips, move linked groups and use the existing clipboard actions.

Select and link

Ctrl/Shift-click clips to select several, or open Showtime tools > Select / link clips and use the checkboxes. Each checkbox identifies its track, clip and start time. Select applies the checkbox selection; Close discards unsubmitted checkbox changes.

Link selected links the checked clips so their starts move together across tracks. Unlink selected groups removes the links for their groups. These buttons act immediately and close the dialog.

Move selected by seconds accepts an explicit positive or negative offset. Move selected applies it to the checked clips and their linked starts, subject to timing and lock constraints. Ripple follows the current setting. A blank offset reports an error and keeps the dialog open.

Trimming is independent. Unlink first if ripple from a trim would otherwise move that same clip through a link. Shared Undo restores committed changes.

Clip actions

Open Showtime tools > Clip actions for the current selection. Copy, Cut, Paste, Duplicate and Delete use the existing show editing commands.

Paste uses the playhead and preserves source tracks, creating missing tracks. Duplicate starts after the selection. Copied groups receive separate links. Ripple follows the current setting.

Mute selected and Unmute selected change playback participation. Lock selected and Unlock selected change clip locks. Parent track/group locks still apply. Close exits without invoking an action.

If the show changes while either dialog is open, reopen it before performing an action.
