Showtime clip properties and source

Set clip timing, position and destination, or edit its embedded particle source.

Timing and position

Open properties for a selected particle or audio clip. Start seconds sets its placement in the show; Duration seconds sets its length. Source in-point chooses the source offset. Position X, Y and Z set the clip position.

Expand Timing, routing and source for End seconds and Source out-point (before repeat wrapping). Changing End updates Duration; changing Source out-point updates Duration and End. Numeric fields require explicit values.

Audio clips also offer Audio gain and Repeat audio source. Apply commits the draft through show history; Close discards unapplied fields.

Name, routing and playback

Clip name labels the clip. Mute clip excludes it from playback; Solo clip isolates soloed content according to show track/group settings. Track (keeps clip times) moves the clip to an eligible destination without changing the entered start and duration. Apply checks destination constraints.

Locked prevents clip editing. Use Unlock clip to unlock it. If its track or parent group is locked, Track settings opens the locked track or group.

Embedded particle source

Edit embedded particle source opens the particle JSON stored in the show. Apply source updates every clip sharing that embedded asset and refreshes the preview. The original source file is unchanged.

Unknown fields and Molang expressions remain available in the JSON. Invalid input reports an error and leaves the saved show unchanged. Cancel discards the draft. Shared Undo restores a committed source edit.

Every clip using the source must be unlocked before it can be edited. If the show changes while a dialog is open, reopen the dialog before applying.

Remove a clip

Remove (ripple) removes the clip and shifts later sequential content according to the show removal rules. Remove (leave gap) removes it without closing the gap. These actions run immediately; they do not apply other draft fields. Undo restores the removal.
